Programs
From the youngest, grassroots age groups to our older regional and national competitive leagues, Pittsburgh Independence FC players experience training through and with the guidelines and standards of US Soccer. PIFC offers programs ranging from Junior Academy to Elite level training.
PIFC Junior Academy
Our Pittsburgh Independence Junior Academy Program is available to all players and is ideal for young players who are interested in exploring and learning more about Soccer. Junior Academy is an excellent way for players to begin and continue their technical skills and advanced player development to the next level. Beginning with our 3-5 year olds’ gross motor development and a player’s very first touches on the ball, this program is designed to create comprehensive footwork and excellent ball control. The consistent program is designed to start with our 3-5 year old program, transition into our 6-8 year old Littles Academy, and then into our Black and Yellow Academy, providing a consistent curriculum preparing players for a critical transition into the U11/ U12 age groups. This inclusive Academy delivers confidence on the ball and a player pathway for every player.
Pittsburgh Independence Junior Academy is made up of 3 groups:
Preschool (Ages 3-5)
Elementary (Ages 6-8 )
Black and Yellow (Ages 9-12)
